Happy Juhannus Kaikille!‏

Hei Everyone!

HAPPY LONGEST DAY OF THE YEAR! 

This week was sooooo great! Our ward had a GRILI PARTY! Okay now seriously this is what I've been waiting for my entire mission (okay maybe that's a stretch but still). WE HAD GRILI MAKKARA! My favorite! I was blessed with the luck to be one of the main people cooking the Makkara. Now, I'm a pro. If you've ever seen me cook it at home, you would know how good I am. So it was a fitting job! We had a couple of investigators come and it was so great! 

At the party there was also this thing where we could bring some old stuff and everyone could take what they wanted. Sooooo, I got this hat. I'm thinking that with the dress code change its a great time to take this hat out tracting! Ha

I'm so excited for Juhannus this week! Its going to be such a fun time and its going to be great! 

Really short letter this week, but things are going great here in Marjaniemi! I love this area, the Finns, and my mission so much!

And then I found CAFE RIO in FINLAND

Sooo okay, I didn't actually find Cafe Rio, but close. So like 2 months ago Sister Crofts and I went to this place called Tortilla House after my Knee Apointment, and well I didn't like it too much. Against what Sister Crofts had told me, I got a salad NOT a burrito. Mistake. 

Sooo this past week, Sister Andersson and I had to chance to go back to Tortilla House and I made the correct choice and got a burrito. Let me tell you. Its amazing. Its not quite Cafe Rio amazing, but I'm not going to complain at all. But yeah, it might have been a highlight of the week :) 

Ha But yeah it was a great week! We found a couple of new investigators and the work is moving forward! 

We also had Zone Training yesterday sooo I GOT TO MEET MY LITTLE SISTER! She's adorable! It was so great to see soo many familiar faces again! I got to see a couple of my MTC group who I haven't seen since the middle of December, so that was amazing!

The meeting was sooo great and we learned just sooo much! We talked A LOT about improving our contacting, and ITS BEEN SO AMAZING!! Wow. It was something I've really wanted to improve and so it just pumped me up and gave me new ideas on how to contact. I was just soo excited and it really just was such a great expirence and I'm just feeling sooo excited going into this week! YAY! 

So yeah! Its been a really great week here in Marjaniemi! Wow. What an amazing area! I love it sooooo much!

Finnish Summer Came and Went‏

Hei everybody!

This was such an insane week here in Marjaniemi! We had some pretty funny experiences so lets begin!

This week, it suddenly became freezing again. Okay, not freezing but like 50 degrees all week. It's cold and has been super rainy. One day we had to run to the store to grab some things for our apartment. So we walk out of Prisma (which is like a 10 minute walk from our house), and well, its POURING rain. Not like just kinda pouring, ACTUALLY POURING. And we didn't have anything to keep us dry. So we thought huh, maybe it won't be too bad if we just walk home, we can't get THAT wet in 10 minutes.

WRONG. WRONG, and WRONG. 

We got completely soaked. Completely. Everything was wet. My make up was half off my face, my hair was wrecked and it was insane. Absolutely insane. We had to get ready and it was NOT a good use of time. Moral if the story is, you WILL get wet if you have to walk outside for 10 minutes, so ALWAYS bring your umbrella. Yep. Learned it.

This week is also sooo exciting because I TURN 9 MONTHS OLD!!!! I can't believe I'm almost half way done with my mission! I don't hit my half way mark until the 19th because I got extended three weeks, so I'm not quite there :) Ha 

I've been thinking back on the past nine months this past week, and WOW, I am sooo grateful for EVERYTHING that has happened and how I've changed and grown since then. Everyone knows that a mission was NEVER, EVER, EVER the plan I had for my self, but luckily God knows sooo much better than me and he sent me out here! It has been such a blessing to come and serve the people of Finland! I love my mission sooo much and I can't wait to see what the next nine months have in store for me!

It's official, I'm obsessed with Finland!‏

Wow! What a fantastic week! It was so much fun! We were able to go to The Center last Tuesday and it was seriously sooo much fun! It brought back sooo many memories of when I was there three years ago! It's so crazy to think that it has already been three years! Gah!

On our little shopping Adventure we made it to the Tori! Wow. It was amazing. It was an extremely beautiful day and so great to just walk around the city! While we were at the Tori, we got hungry and decided that it was necessary to get Tori food. SOOOO to enjoy our outing as much as possible, we decided to get Laplandish Food (meaning Reindeer)! Yes, I still love it. It has been three years and I still just love it the same. Yep. It was great!

I also got some hats to bring my clothes up to the new dress code. So don't worry we're all good now.

This week we had some AMAZING lessons! We got to meet with some wonderful new investigators and really had some amazing experiences. We had this one new investigator who had kinda turned away from God and decided to take a break because of things that had happened in her life. When we met her she really felt like there was a reason why we were supposed to meet her that day. She was lost when we met her and she knows that there is a reason why we met her the other day. 

It was really such an amazingly powerful lesson. I can't believe how the Lord prepares people and puts them literally in our path. Hearing her talk about it really just testified to me about how the Lord is really in charge of everything.

It was really an amazing week! I looooove this work and I love FINLAND. I love you all!
